Guglielmo Marconi was often claimed not having deserve his own scientific results. Very politely, he was used to reply: "using nowledge already awarded and processing theories already know, I just follow the way of Watt, Edison, Stephenson and other famous inventors. I cannot believe that there was one case of invention where one man alone could have created all the apparats and processed all the theories". The most famous invention of Guglielmo Marconi is the radio, even though he gave many contributes to the development of radar. Marconi was born in 1874 in alittle village close to Bologna and from his early youth he badly like Physics and its applications.tdnet His father guessed Gulgielmo's attitudes and he gave him a sponsorship to realised his experiments about the wireless transmission of signals in the lab he built inside the Villa of Pontecchio. In 1896 he recieved in England the first license. After few years Marconi obtained a worldwide tribute after his inventions allowed to save many human lives during the sinking of the two ships Republic and Titanic. After the First World War, Marconi decided to buy a yacht, called Elettra where he lived for a long time with his wife Cristina and his daughter Elettra. Between Sestri Levante and Portofino he realised impotant experiments on radiotelegraphy, radar and he built the first radio remote-controlled lighthouse; many of the results he reached were employed in clinical therapy. In March 1930, from the harbour of Genoa, the scientist lighted up the illumination of the City Hall in Sydney and from the top of the terasse of the Grand Hotel Miramare in Santa Margherita he launched the first signal with shot waves on a long distance; at that time, there was a receiving-station on the top of the hill called Monte Rosa in Montallegro.
